Settling In

Well we have been in London over a month now. The employment situation is not good, but on a positive note we have moved into our own apartment. This is our first home as a married couple and the first place we have had to ourselves since our apartment in the valley near three years ago. So very exciting, needless to say.

Our building from the outside. We are on the first level.

It's a one bedroom flat and this is our spacious living room with a nice sunny window.
Our cosy little kitchen, complete with bar fridge and washing machine under the bench.
And the view from our window to our closest pub, The Priory Arms, all of 20m away. We also have a two more pubs within a one block radius. Yep, we're in England.

Apart from that, we have had some great weather (and some not so good weather) and the lack of employment does mean you get to explore some of this great, big city. We are still entertaining ourselves with the ridiculous amount of free museums and galleries in London. Each one is so large we spend over 3 hours in, only get half of it done and decide we need a break and will have to come back again. There is just so much to see. Highlights so far have been the TATE Modern and National Gallery where we saw works by Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Dali, and the British Museum, that has plundered the empire for centuries to have the most amazing collection.

The best way to explain this is by photos, so here's what we have been up to.
